We are so excited to be doing a Read-A-Thon to benefit the Birthday Book Program. We are partnering with Usborne Books and More for this opportunity and are running it during this time to celebrate Read Across America Week!
If your child(ren) would like to participate, it is really simple.....
😀First they will need to choose a Reading Goal for Spring Break. They can use the attached sheet to keep track of their goal. 😀Next they will need to ask for pledges from family and friends. You will collect these pledges, and hold on to them! 😀 Then they will go to https://k7491.myubam.com/2037153 and put together a Wish List of Usborne Books totaling their pledges (don't forget to leave a little bit for tax) If you would like to pay for shipping and have them shipped straight to you, please just order straight from the website. If you would like to NOT pay shipping and have them shipped to the school...continue to final step.... 😀 Finally email falcons@cepta.org their WishList and Margie Walker will contact you to finalize your order. NO MONEY WILL BE SENT TO THE SCHOOL!
Our goal is to have all the books to the students BEFORE they go home for Spring Break.
Over Spring Break, they work on their goal and when they come back from Spring Break, they will show their goal sheet to the office for an EXTRA PRIZE!
How does this benefit PTA?! Usborne Books will match 50% of all pledges and PTA will be able to pick out books using that. So if there is $1,000 of pledges, than PTA earns $500 from Usborne to use for buying Birthday Books!
